FILTRATION OPTIONS
FILTRATION OPTIONS
Used to remove particulate from the rainwater line that may carry pathogens and increase water clarity. This is typically the first step to post-tank treatment.
Reduces discoloration, odor and volatile organic compounds (VOCs). Carbon filtering uses activated carbon to remove impurities by utilizing chemical adsorption along.
Ultraviolet lights are used to sterilize any pathogens and prevent reproduction, making rainwater safe for reuse.
UV dosage is quantified by millijoules per squared centimeter (mJ/cm 2 ).
US Public health requires 16 mJ/cm 2
NSF/EPA requires 40 mJ/cm 2
1. Automatic Self-Cleaning filters are used to remove large sediment particulate.
2. Cartridge / Bag Housings are secondary form of sediment filtration and remove particles larger than 5 microns in size.
3. Carbon Filtration reduces discoloration, odor and VOCs.
4. Ultraviolet Lights are used to sterilize any pathogens and prevent reproduction.
5. Domestic Backup lines are integrated into the piping layout to allow for continuous water supply should the rainwater supply be depleted.
6. Flow sensors measure flow from both rainwater and domestic sources to record water usage.
7. Pressure Differential Transmitters determine when sediment and carbon filter elements need replacing. This increases the accuracy of when to conduct system maintenance.
